Preparation Sessions

            Parents who bring their first child for Baptism are required to attend a series of two preparation sessions run by a Baptism Team couple. Discussions in these sessions focus on the parents’ Faith Journey, on Christian Parenting, on Belonging to the Church, on the Sacrament of Baptism and Its Symbols, and on the Celebration of Baptism at SJB.

Godparents are also asked to attend these discussions if they live in the area.

The sessions are held in the Parish Center, Large Conference Room on the two Sundays prior to the Baptism Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Registration is required.

Parents are asked to attend the preparation sessions only once, with their first child.
