Stephen Ministry
Duties:A Stephen Minister is an individual who has been trained and commissioned by the parish to serve in a one-to-one Christian caring relationship, to help overcome a challenge, crisis or loss. Such challenges can range from dealing with a job loss, facing injury, surgery or serious illness of self or loved one, loss of relationship through separation, divorce or death, changes in family life such as pregnancy or sending child off to college, dealing with empty nest, anything that can be a burden for one to bear alone. Consider sharing the load and unburdening through the help of a Stephen Minister.

Time: On an as-needed basis; 50 hours of training and ongoing formation
Special skills: Empathetic personality; good listener; faith in God’s compassion
