Infant Baptism Preparation Team
Duties: Married couples with children lead parents and godparents in group discussions about their faith journeys, the meaning of the sacrament of Baptism, and the critical role parents and godparents play in their children’s faith development.
Time: 1 or 2 times a year; includes two 1½-hour sessions on two consecutive Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to
1 p.m.; an additional rehearsal (½-1 hour) after the second session, and assisting the priest at three baptism ceremonies on the third Sunday; requires some preparation time and initial and ongoing formation twice annually
Special skills: Hospitality, welcoming presence, faith sharing, small group facilitation, some knowledge of sacramental theology and liturgy
