Marriage Preparation Team
Duties: Married couples meet with engaged couples to help them prepare for marriage and to reflect with them on the sacrament of marriage.
Time: 1 or 2 series a year; which include four 2-hour meetings with engaged couples, preparation time, and regular team meetings (3-4 a year) for ongoing training and program design
Special skills: Welcoming presence, ability to listen well and share experiences as a married couple, small group facilitation, some knowledge of church teaching on family and human sexuality. Team couples have to be married for at least 2 years and they have to take the Enrich Inventory and reflect on their own marital relationship before starting the ministry. Training is provided.
