Gabriel House Transition Home/Respect Life
Ministry of the Social Justice Committee
Duties: A new ministry developed in collaboration with Gabriel Project to create a transitional group home for pregnant women needing shelter in Montgomery County. We will undertake this ministry in partnership with several other congregations; volunteer duties include: house maintenance, fundraising, promotion of the project within the parish, transportation, babysitting, meal preparation, mentoring, education and vocation training, and classes in parenting skills. Volunteers may also serve on the parish steering committee.
Time: Will vary depending on level of commitment
Special skills: Desire to assist pregnant women in need
