What is Youth Ministry all About?

Youth Ministry is to, with, by and for young people.
Adults and teens work together to meet the spiritual, educational, service, and community building needs of teens in the parish.

It’s about empowerment, participation and growth…

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Youth Ministry strengthens and encourages the youth of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Community and their families by empowering them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, drawing them into participation in the faith community, and fostering their personal and spiritual growth.

Youth Ministry is comprehensive in scope to meet the various needs of the youth community.

Youth Ministry is open to all students of high school age; Confirmed or not-Confirmed, Catholic or non-Catholic, rich or poor, cool or not-so-cool. This is NOT a club. It is a community where ALL are loved as they are and called to grow in their faith in Jesus.
