HSA Elections

If you've wanted to volunteer at your child's school, here is your big opportunity. H.S.A. elections are coming up soon, and right now we need candidates.

The Home School Association is our version of a P.T.A. The H.S.A., a partnership of home and school, meets once a month to plan fundraising and community-building events for the school. Right now, we are looking for nominations for president-elect, treasurer and election-committee members. The president-elect becomes the president in the second year of the term. The treasurer also serves a 2-year term. The three election committee members serve 1-year terms.

You are free to nominate yourself or someone else for any or all of the positions. New Nomination Ballot.docx  The elections committee will check with all of the candidates before the elections in March to make sure that the candidates really want to run.

After the H.S.A. elections, the SJB School Advisory Board will holds its annual elections.

Way to Go, Students!

SJB Students Raise $600 For Haiti Sister School

The 7th grade fundraiser bake and craft sale raised $600 for our sister school in Haiti. There were handmade rosaries, jewelry and valentines along with brownies, cookies and cupcakes. The 7th grade students, under the direction of Mrs. Flynn, turned the 6th grade classroom into an impressive little market during the lunch hour.

Just a reminder that there's no school for students on Friday. It's a staff retreat and professional development day. Monday is the President's Day Holiday, which means there is no school. The next Principal's Note and Gold Folder will go out on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
