Thank you, parents and students, for another wonderful Arts & Academics!
We are proud of all of our students. We know that their effort and preparation -- during many school days and at home on many nights -- made them more comfortable and confident for their reports and presentations. The students certainly were eager to show their parents their work last Wednesday during the well-attended, one-hour A&A festival. It meant a lot to the children that their parents came to support them and all that they have been doing in school.

Three SJB Students Recognized as Finalists in Letters About Literature Contest
Congratulations to Stephanie Malits, Theresa Nguyen, and Christine Slaughter for being selected as finalists in the 2017 Letters About Literature Contest. This contest links reading and writing. Each student writes a letter to an author (living or dead) about a literary work and expresses how that work affected the student. Stephanie wrote to M. Piercy about "So Many Dear Ones." Theresa wrote to Rajaram Ramachandran about "Blunt Truth or Sweet Lies." Christine wrote to Nikita Gill about "I. Tiny Stories." These students will be recognized at an awards ceremony in April and their letters will continue on in the next level of judging. Good job girls - SJB is proud of you!
