We believe parents should know what their child's school is trying to accomplish and how well the school is doing.
It's our hope to make this the place for that kind of honest information. At SJB, we will continue to look at our performance and ask how we can do better. -- Brian Blomquist, SJB Principal

Parents Surveyed on Volunteering and School Traditions
The SJB school advisory board surveyed SJB families in the spring of 2019 to get their views on the school’s lunch-duty requirement, volunteering opportunities, and events and traditions.
Here is a report written by the board’s public relations and communications chair, Merianne Spencer.
As a result of the survey, an ad hoc committee of parents and faculty was created with the mission of looking at options to our current lunch-duty model. The committee’s goal is to complete its work in January 2020.

Survey of Parents, Students and Faculty
Here are the results of a 2016-17 survey of parents, students and faculty on SJB. The survey was designed by the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Washington.
Final Test Scores for the School Year 2015-16
SJB students in 1st grade through 8th grade take Scantron computer-adaptive tests three times a year to measure their growth and understanding in math and reading. Scantron reports the results a few months after the final end-of-year tests are taken. The image below shows SJB reading and math scores, grade by grade, compared to national Blue Ribbon percentiles in those subjects. To see the full report, open the following file: SJB Scantron Test Results 2015-16.pdf
* First grade students participate in Scantron tests this year, but they didn't participate in 2015-16.
