The Home and School Association (HSA) is a partnership of school and families for the improvement of SJB. In some schools, this partnership is called a PTA.
The HSA raises money each year to help the school pay expenses beyond those covered by tuition. The HSA raises money for families in need so that they can afford SJB's Catholic education. HSA financial support supplements the parish's support for the school. HSA funds go toward educational programs and technology, as well.
The HSA also improves communication between parents and faculty, strengthens community, and provides volunteer support.
School families pay annual dues for HSA membership, along with a school directory.
Classroom parents are part of the HSA network.
The HSA has monthly board meetings in the library. They are listed on the website calendar, and they are open to parents.
If you are interested in volunteering for an activity or an event and you are not sure how, you can contact your room parent, or you can contact Heather Ellong (Claire 3rd), HSA committee coordinator, who can tell you where our greatest needs are. Mrs. Ellong's email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
