Apply Now for Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance applications are now being received by the Archdiocese of Washington (ADW).

To apply for tuition assistance for the 2019-20 school year, go to the Catholic Schools tuition assistance information page.

The deadline is Saturday, Dec. 1.

All families are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance through the Archdiocese.

Completion of an Archdiocesan (ADW) application is a requirement for families seeking parish or school assistance.

Last year, 41 students received ADW tuition assistance awards for a total of $37,380 for the current school year. That's $911 per ADW award.

An additional $21,100 was awarded through school and parish tuition assistance accounts, which are funded by contributions.

Friday is International Night

Be a part of the celebration.

Complete the form and send it to  j_nette1@hotmail.com or bebegringa@gmail.com.

Home Access to Educational Websites

Parents, did you know that you and your children have subscriptions to several educational websites? The website list and home access information can be found on the Rediker Parent Portal under School Links and Files. Through the SJB Library, the school provides access to BrainPOP, World Book, Scholastic Go!, CultureGrams, SIRS Discoverer, and IXL Math and Language Arts. There are two files -- one for home access and one for school access.  World Book is an online encyclopedia for the children, parents, and teachers. SIRS is part of the ProQuest research database, and CultureGrams provides information about the 50 states and places in the world. BrainPOP provides academic enrichment in all subjects.

Thank You, Family Flix Organizers

Thank you especially, Emerson Branch and Dianne Branch (Logan 4th), for organizing Family Flix. Thank you to the Trebel Family (Katelyn 5th) for making the slide show of SJB families. Both the Branches and Trebels, as well as other families, devoted many hours to making Family Flix a wonderful night for our school and parish community.

SJB's Food Drive Begins in October

SJB begins a season of service with a food drive for the St. Camillus Food Pantry. This month is our traditional Service Liturgy and food collection for St. Camillus Pantry. A flyer will be going out next week asking for food donations to support our neighbors who do not have enough to eat. We will collect the food October 15-26, and our Service Liturgy will be on October 26 at 10:45. St. Camillus has asked us to deliver the food on Thursday, November 1, around 2 pm.

In November, we collect food for nearby families in need and deliver the meals for Thanksgiving. In December, we have our Shower for Baby Jesus. If you can help as a volunteer in any of these efforts, please see the flyer and signup form.
