SJB Will Have Halloween Parade

Halloween will be celebrated at SJB on Thursday, October 28, which is a half-day with 12 noon dismissal.

Update: There will be a Halloween Parade around the field starting at about 8:45 am.

Parents will be able to come and watch the parade from the field or from a designated spectator section in the lot. Students will be able to wear costumes to school that day.

To encourage simple costumes for the children, we are skipping the costume contest this year. We'll still have opportunities for prizes, fun, and 8th grade masters of ceremony.

We'll have more details for you in the next few weeks.

Just a reminder: there will be no school on Friday, October 29, a professional development day for all Catholic school elementary teachers in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington.

SJB Food Drive for St. Camillus Pantry October 11-22

The annual food drive for the St. Camillus Pantry will begin next week.

Please Fill Student Bottles with Water

Students may keep water bottles under their chairs throughout the school day, but they can have only water in their containers during their classes. During lunch, students may open a container of juice or a sports drink from home.

They're not limited to water during lunch.

Tag Day Friday, October 8, for Sister Parish in Haiti

Show off your best kicks!  Students may come to school out of uniform on Friday, National Sneaker Day.  We ask each child out of uniform to contribute a dollar or two for our sister parish in Haiti,  devastated by the recent earthquake.

Living Rosary Will Be Wednesday, October 6

Students in each grade will sit on their yoga mats on the lot for a Living Rosary on Wednesday at 10 am. Students will form the Rosary at the same time that they recite the Rosary.

Friday Lunch Grill

Students May Take Their Orders Home or Eat on the Field
If you plan to have lunch outside with your child, please park along the field or fence so that your car is not interfering with pick-up.
Proceeds from the 8th-grade sponsored lunch grill go toward spring graduation activities.
