SJB Christmas Program is Next Thursday, Dec. 15

Students have already started rehearsing their class songs in the church with Mr. Guerra, the music teacher.

The annual Christmas Show is a big event at St. John the Baptist.

Students and teachers are expected to attend, and there's always a big audience of parents and alumni for the traditional Christmas story told through readings and beautiful songs.

The concert will begin at 7 pm. Parents are encouraged to come early to get good seats.

Parents should bring their children to the school in their performance clothes on Thursday at 6:30 pm, when the school doors will be opened so that students can report to their classes.

At 6:50, teachers will lead students to the gym and line them up for their procession into the church at 7:00.

See the guide below to find out what your child should wear to the concert.

Program Notes:

  • A rehearsal matinee performance will begin in the church at 10:30 am on Thursday, Dec. 15. The matinee has been popular with grandparents who can't make the nighttime production.
  • A video of the Christmas show will be made available for free to all SJB families.
  • Dropping off a coat to reserve a seat in the church isn't an option. Unattended coats or belongings will be collected and hung up in the church closet.

Thank You, SJB Band, for the Wonderful Christmas Concert

Help us Stock the Shop!

This year, every student will have a chance to shop for a parent or sibling on Friday, December 16. To make sure we have enough gifts for all, we are soliciting donations for the shop by Friday, December 9. Please see the flyer for details.
What kinds of items are you looking for?
  • Anything your kids would like to buy for someone else
  • Something small, inexpensive, or handmade
  • Toys, ornaments, coffee mugs, soaps/lotions, squishies, fuzzy socks
I am busy and not crafty, how can I help?
Volunteers will be shopping for a few remaining items the week before the shop. If it's easier for you, and you have the ability, we welcome contributions via Venmo (Angie McCarthy, Angie-McCarthy-1). Even a small donation of a few dollars goes a long away. We will turn those dollars into items for the shop.
I have items to donate, where and when should I bring them?
Please bring any items to the front office by Friday, December 9th.
I have questions, who can I ask?
Please email the shop organizers, Angie McCarthy ( or Karen Mordock ( with any questions. We are happy to hear from you!
Thank you in advance for supporting this beloved annual tradition. It won't be possible without your support.
--- Angie McCarthy (Ronan 5th, Emma 2nd) and Karen Mordock (Jackson 2nd).
A Little Help?

A Little Help? was launched to give parents specific, immediate ways that they can help their child's school.

Volunteering is a terrific way to become more involved in your child's school. Volunteers must be child-protection certified. Find out how on the volunteer page.
