Principal's Note 1/9/18

SJB is pleased to announce that Sarah Franz has agreed to be our new music teacher.

Ms. Franz graduated with a bachelor's in music in vocal performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She received her Post Baccalaureate Certification in Music Education K-12 from the University of Houston. She completed her student teaching in music at a middle school and elementary school near her hometown of Houston. She is certified in Kodály and Orff music methodologies.

While living in New York City, Ms. Franz performed in numerous regional theater productions and national tours across the country.  She is thrilled to join the SJB team for her first year of teaching and can’t wait to share her love of music with all of her SJB students. Ms. Franz is scheduled to begin teaching music classes on Jan. 23.

School Test Scores

The end-of-year school assessment portfolio has been posted on the Rediker parent portal in school announcements. We would be proud to post the results for all to see, but it's archdiocesan policy to contain the information in a closed forum. The kids should be proud of their academic growth and achievement. Of particular interest is the section that begins after page 20 comparing the scores of SJB students to scores of state public school students and local public school students.
