Praying to Sleeping St. Joseph to Take Our Worries
This week, we have been telling the children to about how to say a prayer to sleeping St. Joseph.
Here's how it works in three steps:
1. In just a few words, write your fear or worry or problem down on a slip of paper.
2. Fold the paper and slide it under the statue of sleeping St. Joseph.
3. Pray to St. Joseph to take away your fear or worry, or pray for a good ending to your problem.
This week, Senora Flynn brought a sleeping St. Joseph statue to the front hallway of St. John the Baptist so that the children could bring their fears or worries to St. Joseph. The first Feast of St. Joseph is this Friday, March 19, but we plan to pray to sleeping St. Joseph for a while longer. We have good company, after all. Pope Francis has been praying to sleeping St. Joseph for 40 years.
