St. John the Baptist plans to follow the state's timeline and re-open the campus on Monday, April 27.
We will extend our distance learning plan until then. There will be a break in distance-learning lessons over spring break, although students may receive reading, writing and math-practice assignments.
Further updates and announcements may come as the governor monitors the public-health situation in Maryland. We will update you families right away if there is any change.

Our Second Week of Distance Learning
We are grateful to all of you who provided feedback to us in the parent survey on remote learning. We've reviewed the results of the survey and the individual suggestions of parents, and we've had a series of online meetings on implementing parent ideas.
It is our hope that the presence of teachers has increased through online meetings, video calls, chats, and videos.
Parents are divided on how they like to receive weekly assignments. Some like the week's assignments in an easy-to-read list on one form. Others like a daily breakdown. Our teachers are posting the weekly plan in the portal on their "class summary" page. Those assignments may also appear in daily chunks in "Coursework."
