Thank You, SJB Parents, For Your Support

SJB parents really know how to make a teacher feel appreciated.

Last week, classroom parents took turns making meals for teachers and bringing in thoughtful treats. Parents brought in breakfast and lunch each morning and mid-day throughout Teacher Appreciation Week.

Our teachers and aides work long hours planning and preparing lessons and teaching children. They are dedicated to their students, always thinking about different ways and new resources to help their students learn, celebrating their progress. Our teachers do what they do for the children and their families. Family support means everything to our teachers.

All of this is a way of saying that Teacher Appreciation Week matters. Although it's not crucial that our families show the most appreciation for our teachers, it is important to our teachers that their hard work is recognized... and, yes, it's a source of pride and bragging rights at Catholic school professional workshops. No one else does it quite like SJB does it.

Here's the Schedule for End-of-year Scantron Tests

We want the end-of-year Scantron tests to reflect the mathematics and reading abilities of our students when they are at their best. Please help by making sure that the children get a full night's rest and a nutritious breakfast before their Scantron tests. Parents will receive end-of-year Scantron data in June. The information will include the child's national percentile scores in reading and math and the child's progress from September to May.

Thank You, Spring Cleaners!

A big "thank you" to the many families who donated books to the St. Camillus pantry. We delivered 15 boxes of books for children of all ages. The children of the families who get their food from the pantry love the gift of books, and they are always delighted when they are available. You have made many children very happy! -- Senora Flynn

Summer camp information is here...

After-School Tennis Registration

Here is the registration form for an after-school tennis program run by SJB parents. Although the children meet at SJB, this isn't a school program. The parent coaches walk the children to White Oak for tennis instruction.

Remember to Put Aside Items for Ms. Moore's West Virginia Trip

Please remember that Ms. Moore will be making her 21st annual trip to West Virginia in June.  She is happy to pass along to the families in Appalachia gently used baby and children's clothing, all sorts of linens (sheets, towels. blankets, pillows), household items and personal hygiene items (even travel sizes). Place your donated items in the gym stairwell. Please put loose items in a bag and mark the bag "WV."

SJB Athletics Needs Sports Commissioners and Athletic Director

Please see the SJB Athletics information bulletin about the volunteer jobs that must be filled to carry on SJB sports.
