The first thing to know about St. John the Baptist is that it's full of kids.
SJB is an elementary school with boys and girls in preschool through 8th grade. We have one class per grade, about 253 students in all. We are part of a Catholic parish, and we are committed to living as Jesus taught us. To us, this means welcoming non-Catholic students and their families to our community. It means extending our inclusive attitude and compassion to the classroom, lunch table, and playground. At SJB, there's a feeling of belonging among our students and families. We are proud of our high academic standards and achievements, including our Blue Ribbon distinction. Most of our 8th graders go to the Catholic high schools of their choice, and many graduates receive academic scholarships. We are proud of our top-notch writing and Spanish programs, the variety of enriching after-school activities that we offer, the integration of technology that prepares children for the future, and the traditions that link us to our past. We are most proud of the small, important gains we make with children every day and the trusting partnerships we have formed with each other. SJB is where you feel you belong.
We have been blessed with a gorgeous sunny day for Field Day! Ms. K and the Class of 2018 organized an outstanding morning of activities for the school. Go red, white and blue!
